The Chatfield Fall Festival is a Chatfield student-led and organized event.
- What is the Chatfield Fall Festival? The Chatfield Fall Festival is a new event that will be hosted by the Chatfield Student Service Club (CSSC) yearly on Chatfield’s St. Martin Campus. We invite people from all of the surrounding communities to enjoy a day of family fun. Admission to the event is FREE.
There will be many things going on all day, all over the campus. Free hay rides will be provided until sunset. Don’t forget to come in your Halloween costumes for the costume contest free to enter for everyone, as well as a ‘Trunk-or-Treat’ from 5-7. Pumpkin painting will be located in our art building, and a pumpkin to paint will cost $2. Games, including a 2-liter soda ring toss, a cake walk, and more will be located in the Mongan Academic Building classrooms. Game tickets will cost $1 a piece, which will allow you to play all the games. In the newly-renovated Welcome Center and Student Lounge, we will have many items and themed baskets that will be up for raffle. Raffle tickets are also $1, 6 tickets for $5, or an arm’s length (of seller) for $10. Raffle Drawings will start at 7, shortly after the Trunk-or-Treat concludes. You do NOT have to be present to win! Throughout the day, we will have a photo booth set up to take pictures of students, children, and parents alike. What’s there to eat at the festival? Stop by our concession right in the Mongan Academic Building, for LaRosa’s pizza, Chick-Fil-A sandwiches, popcorn, drinks, desserts, and more!
Who planned this event, and why?
This event was created and planned by a group of students involved in CSSC. CSSC was one of the first clubs to be created at Chatfield. CSSC’s mission is to provide students with volunteering opportunities through activities in the community surrounding Chatfield, while also serving the student body through various lunches, fundraising activities, campus clean-up projects, and more. There are more than fifteen dedicated members working to help this event come to Chatfield this fall. Through months of planning, fundraising, and volunteering, we are happy to share our vision of a fall family fun day in Brown County, Ohio.
Where are the profits going?
As a student leadership group, our goal is to give back to the students and the community. Therefore, we will be donating 25% of our profits back to Chatfield. We are starting a new Chatfield Improvement Fund, which includes plans to refurbish the tennis court, start a coffee shop that operates at Chatfield, and build a board game shelf. Another 25% will be used to buy Christmas gifts for families in need through HOPE Emergency in Lynchburg, OH. The remaining 50% will go to help us continue the fall festival in future years.
