Early Childhood educators usually work within a school setting but can also be found in care centers or even private residences. You will have an important job – laying the foundation for the future education of our youngest learners. All of their future teachers will build upon this foundation.
As an accredited program with coursework focused on the profession of educating young children, Chatfield’s Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree provides you with a direct pathway to your goal of a degree. Chatfield’s program in Early Childhood Education prepares its graduates to sit for Ohio licensure in PreK-3 as an educator of children up to about eight years of age.
This program is open to all students with a high school diploma or GED. Students in the program must meet the academic standards of the program to advance to upper levels of study.
You will need to take an English and mathematics placement test or provide SAT/ACT scores. These do not affect your admission, but the results are used to properly place you in classes.
