In the root sense, liberal means free. Chatfield’s Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts program is a broad-based program that encourages each student to become more authentically free – by developing academic skills that build self-confidence and flexibility for life-long success, and by exploring a range of options to develop career choices.
Students who choose the Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts program can also choose a pathway, though they are not required.
This program is open to all students with a high school diploma or GED. Students in the program must meet the academic standards of the program to advance to upper levels of study.
You will need to take an English and mathematics placement test or provide SAT/ACT scores. These do not affect your admission, but the results are used to properly place you in classes.
